Great Suffolk Street in for planning

Forge secured planning approval for this empty corner site adjacent to two Victorian terraces. The height and facade articulation provided a suitably robust form to this prominent corner, whilst remaining harmonious to the scale of the neighbouring buildings.

During the design phase we tested and developed a layout that both maximised the potential of the site whilst providing optimum amount of aspect, privacy and amenity for each dwelling.

A well-balanced palette of brick, timber, zinc cladding and stone provides a sympathetic contemporary response to the surrounding context. During the construction of this project, we paid careful attention to preserve the detailing and aesthetic ethos of the original design.

The result is a high-quality residential development that exemplifies our approach to small sites with sensitive surroundings.
