Creek Way completes in Rainham
Following previous successful new build and refurbishment projects with Newable Developments across various London boroughs, Forge were commissioned to develop the design for this triangular site. Forge have taken this project from feasibility right through to completion, achieving planning permission in the summer of 2017.
Located next to the M25 and known commercially as ‘Swift 13’, the Creek Way project addresses the demand for good quality, accessible and attractive industrial units. The varied unit size and adaptable open plan spaces, with the capacity to build out the mezzanine structures, provides excellent potential for tenants from a broad spectrum of businesses.
Forge sought to be playful with their architectural approach to this project, using bold gradient blues to reference the adjacent Ingrebourne Creek and the nearby Thames. Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the project, with electric car charging points, cycle storage and a ground source heat pump provided. An ecological buffer zone has been installed to promote the existing and future wildlife enjoying the adjacent creek.
Forge are pleased to continue working with the core design team, currently developing a planning application for a new infrastructural project in Barking.
